What is Backafestivalen all about?
Backafestivalen is a world-folkmusic festival that embraces music, dance, food, workshops, activities for kids and much more. It takes place 15-16th of July in the idyllic fields of Tjörnedala outside Baskemölla/Simrishamn. You can expect a warm atmosphere, an exciting schedule and tents filled with energy!
Simrishamn is a part of the region “Österlen” and is an absolutely stunning part of Sweden during the summer. You can read more about it by following this link. To get to Backafestivalen you can either take the train or the bus, which stops only a few hundred meters away (a five-minute walk). Visit the website of Skånetrafiken and search for Baskemölla, Mexikovägen. As you can see on this map, it’s not too far!
